Code of Conduct

The professional standards and expectations that apply to every user of the SwitchAssess platform \u2014 employers, HR administrators, and candidates alike.

Last updated: March 31, 2026

Our Commitment

SwitchAssess is committed to maintaining a fair, professional, and integrity-driven assessment environment. Our platform serves employers seeking data-driven hiring intelligence and candidates demonstrating their authentic skills. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards we expect from every person who uses SwitchAssess. Violations may result in assessment invalidation, account suspension, or permanent removal at our sole discretion.

Core Principles

Fairness

Every candidate is evaluated against the same objective criteria. No bias, no favoritism — only data-driven assessment.

Integrity

Assessments must reflect authentic ability. Using AI tools, third-party assistance, or deceptive practices undermines the entire system.

Privacy

Assessment data is confidential. Employers access only aggregated scores and reports, not raw behavioral telemetry.

Transparency

Every score is explainable. The AI-Resistance Index is advisory only and never presented as conclusive evidence.

Expected Behavior

  • Complete all assessments honestly and to the best of your own ability
  • Treat all platform interactions with professionalism and respect
  • Provide accurate information in profiles, applications, and assessment responses
  • Respect the confidentiality of assessment content, questions, and simulations
  • Use assessment results responsibly and in accordance with applicable employment laws
  • Report technical issues, security vulnerabilities, or suspicious behavior promptly
  • Follow all proctoring requirements and assessment instructions as presented
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and authorized access
  • Accept assessment outcomes and use proper channels for disputes or concerns

Prohibited Activities

  • Using AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to generate or assist with assessment responses
  • Having another person complete an assessment on your behalf or providing answers to others
  • Copying, screenshotting, recording, or distributing assessment content, questions, or simulations
  • Attempting to bypass, disable, or interfere with proctoring systems or integrity monitoring
  • Using browser extensions, developer tools, or external software to manipulate assessment behavior
  • Accessing unauthorized resources, reference materials, or communication tools during proctored assessments
  • Creating multiple accounts to retake assessments or circumvent platform restrictions
  • Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or intimidation toward any platform user
  • Sharing assessment links, login credentials, or invitation codes with unauthorized individuals
  • Using assessment data to discriminate against candidates based on protected characteristics
  • Manipulating or fabricating assessment scores, reports, or hiring confidence data
  • Scraping, data mining, reverse engineering, or automated access to platform systems
  • Misrepresenting SwitchAssess scores or reports to candidates, colleagues, or third parties

For Employers & HR

  • Use assessments only for legitimate hiring and talent evaluation purposes
  • Configure role-fit criteria and trait weighting honestly and without discriminatory intent
  • Review Regret Minimizer Reports as advisory tools, not as sole decision-makers
  • Treat the AI-Resistance Index as an advisory indicator — never as proof of cheating
  • Protect candidate assessment data and limit access to authorized personnel only
  • Comply with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and data protection laws
  • Provide candidates with fair notice about the assessment process and proctoring
  • Never use assessment data to retaliate against candidates who raise concerns
  • Share assessment feedback with candidates when appropriate and constructive

For Candidates

  • Complete all assessments independently and without unauthorized assistance
  • Ensure you are in a quiet, private environment during proctored assessments
  • Keep your webcam enabled and browser tab focused when proctoring is active
  • Do not copy, share, or discuss specific assessment questions or simulations
  • Report any technical issues immediately rather than attempting workarounds
  • Provide truthful information in your profile and assessment registration
  • Accept that behavioral signals (typing patterns, response timing) are analyzed
  • Understand that the AI-Resistance Index is advisory and does not determine guilt
  • Use proper channels to dispute results or raise concerns about the process

Assessment Integrity

The value of SwitchAssess depends on the integrity of every assessment. Our platform includes multiple integrity safeguards including the AI-Resistance Index, behavioral signal analysis, keystroke biometrics, and configurable proctoring. These systems are designed to ensure fairness for all candidates.

Important: AI-Resistance Index Disclaimer

The AI-Resistance Index is an advisory indicator only. It estimates the probability of AI-assisted responses based on behavioral patterns, typing rhythms, paste behavior, and timing analysis. It is never presented as conclusive evidence of cheating. Employers must exercise human judgment when interpreting this metric. Using the AI-Resistance Index as the sole basis for rejecting a candidate violates this Code of Conduct.

If integrity concerns are identified, SwitchAssess may:

  • Flag the assessment for employer review with relevant behavioral data
  • Invalidate assessment results if clear evidence of cheating is found
  • Offer the candidate an opportunity to retake the assessment under stricter proctoring
  • Suspend or terminate accounts engaged in repeated integrity violations

Data & Privacy Standards

SwitchAssess collects behavioral data during assessments to power our intelligence systems. All parties must respect the following data standards:

  • Behavioral telemetry (keystroke patterns, response timing, focus tracking) is used exclusively for assessment scoring and integrity verification
  • Webcam data, when enabled, is used only for presence verification during the assessment session and is not stored permanently
  • Employers receive aggregated scores and reports — not raw behavioral telemetry or keystroke-level data
  • Candidates have the right to request their assessment data and understand how their scores were calculated
  • Assessment data must not be shared with unauthorized third parties or used for purposes beyond hiring evaluation
  • All data handling complies with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR, PIPEDA, and CCPA

Reporting & Enforcement

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, report it immediately by emailing conduct@switchasses.com. All reports are reviewed promptly and handled with strict confidentiality.

Enforcement actions are taken at SwitchAssess's sole discretion and may include:

  • Written warning and documentation of the incident
  • Invalidation of specific assessment results
  • Temporary suspension of account access and platform features
  • Permanent removal from the platform without refund
  • Notification to the employer or candidate of confirmed violations
  • Reporting to law enforcement where required by applicable law

We reserve the right to terminate accounts engaged in serious misconduct without prior warning. Decisions regarding enforcement are final and not subject to appeal except as required by applicable law.
