SwitchAssess ("we", "our", or "us"), a product of REWORK Digital, operates an AI-powered hiring intelligence and skills assessment platform that helps employers evaluate candidates through data-driven, explainable assessments. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information in compliance with:

2. Data Controller

For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, SwitchAssess (operated by REWORK Digital) is the data controller for personal data collected through our platform. When processing candidate assessment data on behalf of employers, we may act as a data processor under the employer's direction.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Employer Account Information

When employers create an account, we collect:

  • Company name, contact person name, and email address
  • Account credentials (passwords are stored securely hashed)
  • Billing and subscription information
  • Job roles, assessment configurations, and hiring preferences

3.2 Candidate Assessment Data

When candidates take assessments, we collect:

  • Name and email address (as provided by the employer or candidate)
  • Assessment responses, skills test results, and behavioral evaluation data
  • AI-generated scoring, role-fit analysis, and competency evaluations
  • Session metadata (time spent, completion status, device information)

3.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect:

  • Device information, browser type, and IP address
  • Pages visited, features used, and session duration
  • Assessment interaction patterns for platform improvement

3.4 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We retain transaction IDs and subscription status for account management.

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide and maintain the SwitchAssess platform and assessment services
  • Create and manage employer accounts and subscriptions
  • Administer candidate assessments and generate AI-powered evaluation reports

5. AI-Powered Assessments & Automated Decision-Making

SwitchAssess uses AI and automated tools to score assessments, evaluate skills, and generate candidate reports. Important information about our AI usage:

  • AI scoring provides recommendations to employers — it does not make final hiring decisions
  • All AI-generated scores include explainability metrics so employers understand the reasoning
  • We design our assessments to minimize bias and ensure fair evaluation
  • Candidates have the right to request human review of AI-generated assessments where applicable under GDPR or other regulations
  • Employers are responsible for final hiring decisions and compliance with employment laws

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential cookies: Authentication, session management, and assessment delivery
  • Analytics cookies: Understanding platform usage to improve our services
  • Assessment integrity cookies: Ensuring fair and secure assessment conditions

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent assessment completion.

7. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share your information with:

  • Employers: Candidate assessment results, scores, and hiring reports are shared with the employer who initiated the assessment
  • Service providers: Third-party providers assisting with payment processing (Stripe), hosting (Google Cloud/Firebase), AI processing, and email communications
  • REWORK Digital: As our parent product, certain operational data is shared for platform administration
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We do not sell candidate personal information or assessment data to third parties.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Secure authentication with hashed passwords
  • Role-based access controls separating employer and candidate data
  • Assessment integrity measures to prevent unauthorized access
  • Regular security assessments and incident response procedures

9. Data Retention

Employer account data is retained while the account is active. Candidate assessment data is retained for the duration specified by the employer's subscription or as required for reporting purposes. Upon request, candidate data can be deleted subject to legal retention requirements. We retain anonymized, aggregated assessment data for platform improvement.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
